Let Every Day Be Christmas…Norman Wesley Brooks, 1976

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like the bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself.
Peace on earth will come to stay when we live Christmas every day.

It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.  W.T. Ellis

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.  ~Charles Dickens

Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love Divine;
Love was born at Christmas,
Star and Angels gave the sign.

    Dear Linda,

Your comment on my blog made me smile! I really would love to know what you sent me, but I will be patient! However difficult I find it 🙂 Your Christmas decorations do look lovely. The red daybed with the bear on it looks very comfortable.

I haven’t replied to your last email yet, but I hope to find some time today!

    Wish you a Happy Sunday!

    Lieve groet, Madelief

    Hi Linda,

I love all your pretty decorations from past Christmases. I did have to smile at the things we have the same – the tree, the angel music box, the vintage looking Santa, soup tureen and the sheep – Could Midge be right and we were separated at birth?!

I love the new look of your blog, and Mo is right – it is like a beautiful Victoria Christmas magazine. Looking forward to your new Christmas photos because I know they will be beautiful, too!

    Hi Linda,

It’s me, Florence, from perksofcancer.com. I really enjoyed reading your story; thank you for sharing that. We have a lot in common: Breast Cancer, positive attitude, blogging and GARDENING! I live, eat, sleep and breathe my garden. I also run a very small hobby business from my home…Perfect Perennials, and I would LOVE to hear more about your Pink Days idea. Oh yeah, and I am the only registered “Horticultural Therapist” in the province….basically, it means that I use horticulture in my Psychology practice (I am a Psychologist by profession). I also noticed the theme of Angels on your beautiful website…I am trained in Angel Therapy as well. So, we are certainly kindred spirits. I just posted your blog to my Facebook wall, and I encouraged my friends to check it out. Do you facebook? I am Florence A. Jarvis, if you want to find me, and on Twitter, I am strangwarrior.

NTV news is interviewing me tomorrow about my blog and I think it will air on Monday evening.

    • 2011/11/24 at 3:51 pm

      Hi Florence,

Well, it certainly seems that we do share much! Thanks for following and for posting my blog to your Facebook site; I really appreciate that. I am on Facebook, but have much to learn – I’m not very good at it. Lol Please email me anytime, Florence, at linda.beautifulideas@gmail.com. You’ll certainly get me much quicker there. 🙂

I am having a special fundraiser, “A Christmas Tea for Lucas”, here at my home on Sunday, December 11th. You are warmly welcome to come and bring a friend or two, and join in the fun if you happen to be in town. If you’d like to know more, I invite you to email me and I’d love to tell you more about it.

We have tons of snow here this day! And, what better day to watch Miracle on 34th Street?! It’s one of my favourite Christmas movies of all time…

      Wishing you a beautiful day,

      Linda

  10. 2011/11/25 at 11:43 pm

    Hi Linda-

I feel like I have stepped into a beautiful Christmas shop, or am paging through a glossy magazine. Your blog is filled with such festive and pretty decorations and displays – so inspiring. I am a big tea lover, too – so I am enjoying reading the references to the pleasures of a cup of tea.

Getting to contribute to An Old Fashioned Country Christmas was a thrill for me. Happy to know that it was one of your favorites. 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to tell me.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

    My best- Diane

    Hi Linda,

You make your spare bedroom look so inviting. If you hear noises in the middle of the night, please do not panic. It will be me, inviting myself in for a sleepover. Pull back the covers and snuggle in for the night. The teddy bear will have to move over for one night. Hopefully, you will invite me to share in a “cuppa” with you in the morning from one of those beautiful teapots you so beautifully display.

I hope you had a beautiful Christmas and the new year brings for you all the things you wish for. Keep up the good work on your blog. I so enjoy the photos and the calming effect it gives. Take care and see you in the new year.

    Hi Linda,
Your photos truly capture the magic of Christmas. I hate for the season to end but vow to carry on the feeling all year through.
    Thanks for sharing!

Just saw the room you created for your mother on A Joyful Cottage. I could barely see through the tears. You are a genius and your love for your mother shows in everything you created for her in her special room. God bless you and your Mother.

      Hi Karen!
Welcome! I’m thrilled that you visited. I haven’t posted in awhile and it seems I find it harder and harder to get time to blog regularly these days with work and volunteering. I’ll be back here very soon, though; at least before Christmas. Lol I always have something festive to share. I’m so glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for leaving such a lovely comment! Wishing you a beautiful summer…
      Linda
